THC-containing drugs. The FDA received reports of 104 adverse events for
patients who took delta-8 THC supplements between November 1, 2021, and February
28, 2022. The following 104 adverse events were reported: reports:

77% of patients were
adults. 8 per cent of them were children younger than 18 years old, and 15%
didn't mention age.55% required intervention (e.g. assessment by emergency
medical professionals) or hospitalization.

66% of respondents
reported adverse reactions when consuming delta-8 THC-containing food items
(e.g. brownies, brownies, Gummies). These adverse events include, however, were
not restricted to vomiting, hallucinations as well as anxiety, tremors,
dizziness, confusion and loss of consciousness.
The National Poison Control Centers have exposed 2,362
cases using delta-8 THC. Between January 1 and February 28 2022, the exposure
cases that were reported included:
58% of the patients involved were adults. 41% were
pediatric patients younger than 18 years old, and 1 per cent did not have age
information.40% were exposed unintentionally to delta-8 THC. The majority of
accidental exposures affected children.70% of patients required evaluation of
the health facility, Of which 8 per cent resulted in admission to a
critical-care unit. 45 per cent of patients who required health facility
evaluations were children. A pediatrics case was coded as an outcome from a
medical source of death.
